Students celebrating the return to school on a white background

We are excited to welcome all of our new and returning Cubs on Thursday, August 14. This year, we have worked hard to reimagine the traditional “Open House” model to make it a more meaningful experience and combine the best aspects of Open House and Back to School Night to make one event, the Cub Nation Kickoff. Here is what you need to know…

We will be ready to welcome families in the building at 9:30 for the am session and 12:30 for the pm sessions.

Kindergarten: Teachers will be giving an orientation presentation in their rooms at 10:00.  At the time, you will learn about class expectations and what the typical school day will look like. This is a great opportunity to drop off supplies, meet the teacher, and see your Cub’s learning space. Please note, if you have an older Cub, the teachers will not be available to meet until their sessions start in the afternoon.

1st - 5th Grade: Due to the size of our school and to make a better experience, we are splitting up the 1st - 5th grade presentations into two sessions based on students’ last names. (If you have multiple 1st - 5th graders, you might have to go to both sessions regardless of last name.)

  • 1:00 pm (Students with last names beginning from A - L)

  • 2:00 pm (Students with last names beginning from M - Z)

Information Fair:

We will have tables set up to provide information and assistance about everything from transportation to nutrition services.
